Publicity/Radio Promotion News - August 18, 2007
Since the release date of my CD “Caminhos Cruzados/Crossroads” critics praised the record as "intriguing" (All Music Guide),”beautiful set of Brazilian sounds from start-to-finish" (All About Jazz),”wonderful groove filled exhibition of the Brazilian attitude” (Jazz Review) and “very warm session of beautiful Brazilian grooves certain to please the most discerning and sophisticated jazz audience” (EJazzNews).
While being overwhelmingly positive across the board some reviewers suggested with the healthy chunk of hilarity that Caminhos Cruzados falls “… somewhere between samba and the undiscovered soundtrack to City Of Lost Children ” (Cashbox Magazine) and the music of “Combustible Edison” …if they did straight on jazz" (Chicken Fish Speaks).
Caminhos Cruzados ∙ Crossroads is now receiving air play at 126 Jazz, Classical and World music radio stations nationwide as well as in Canada, Australia, and The Netherlands. In California it is currently in rotation at: KCSM (San Mateo), KSJS (San Jose), KALX (Berkeley), KUSP and KZSC (Santa Cruz) and KKJZ and KLBC (Long Beach).
